Artistic Statement

As a Choreographer, I strive to create movement that is fused with unique creativity. Constantly creating choreography that is true to my own style, yet embodies the movement qualities of my dancers. Establishing a space where dancers can experiment, explore, and elaborate on general choreographic concepts allows me to learn about my dancers while generating new ideas.

 

 I am fascinated by the unique blending of dance styles because it provides me with a bigger canvas to work with. Classical Ballet remains true in my choreographic style with added aspects of minuscule details that correlate with a recurring motif. I refuse to confine myself and my dancers when choreographing and present the narratives of my work unapologetically.

 

 Music is an element of choreographing that engulfs my creative process. Musical aspects like syncopation, rhythm changes, and mixed meter scores keeps both the dancers and the audience engaged in my piece. Uncovering new concepts and movements continues to be my goal when exploring a creative concept. Relaying concepts into a captivating piece with seamless transitions. I will continue to implement all elements of dance into my choreography while creating a sparkle of joy for all to enjoy.
